Seminary Dropout Podcast with Ron Sider | Are Christians Supposed to be Pacifists?

by Chase Parnell — June 15, 2020

I listened to this podcast on my run this morning. It addresses the sermon on the mount as well as pacifism vs. use of force, so I thought I’d share it with you all given Sam’s current sermon series and our recent Zoom conversations.

Here’s the link to the podcast episode or you can search Seminary Dropout in your podcast app to find it.

A little about the podcast guest, Ron Sider: “Ronald J. Sider … is a well-known evangelical speaker, writer, and editor. Holding a PhD in history from Yale University, Ron Sider is president of Evangelicals for Social Action, director of the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy, and a professor at Palmer Theological Seminary. He is also a contributing editor of Christianity Today and an ordained minister in the Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches. Ron Sider lives with his wife Arbutus in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.”

Feel free to post any thoughts or comments below! Even if just to say you listened to it. I’m always on the search for interesting content from a Mennonite perspective to better understand our church’s core beliefs and world views. If you’ve read or listened to anything lately that you enjoyed, feel free to post a link to it as well!

Happy Monday,

Chase
